Tins can be continuously reused to form new packaging while maintaining performance, quality, and safety. Often, decorative tins are not thrown away; instead being repurposed or kept as a collectible. Globally, more steel is recycled than glass, paper, aluminum, and plastic combined. Tins are typically between 25-60% recycled steel and recycling steel requires only 25% of the energy necessary to produce new material. The latest global statistics from The World Steel Association indicate that steel can recycling has reached its highest level at 68%.
